Story & Philosophy

Jaipur is at the heart of our story: It all started in 1985 when we were exposed to the charming world of Jaipur prints & artisans.

The collection is motivated by a desire to work with textile artisans in Rajasthan, West Bengal, Orissa, Kashmir & South India to develop high quality fashion which can transition well across different cultures & traditions.

We believe in connecting quality craftsmanship to market, artisans to style trends, tailors & designers to finished product & consumers to the human story of slow fashion.

Sete di Jaipur is a lifestyle brand for conscious and sophisticated individuals who want their wardrobe to reflect a sustainable lifestyle.

Sete di Jaipur’s commitment is to a cradle-to-cradle approach to fashion. We believe sustainable fashion is only sustainable through quality design, which wears well over time and reflects the story of its production. We use sustainable fabrics such as handloom wool, ahimsa silk, artisan textiles and up-cycled fabrics as a part of every collection.

We use only fair labor garment production and actively look for partnering with artisan textile projects, supporting innovative development in up-cycling, and micro-social enterprise.

All our products have a story behind the production: it is a dialogue across cultures and brings people together through art, craft and understanding.

Fair Trade Support

We have created a transparent and vertical supply chain, using fair labor standards, which allows us to personally confirm that all modern ethical rules are maintained within our production units in India, using traditional hand-paint, block and screen printing , cotton and wool yarns and nice materials for embroideries, which actively supports decentralized village production methods in rural India.
